The cottages are furnished with care and thought and have enclosed gardens. Many rooms have exposed beams, and most have views towards Scafell Pike. Well behaved pets are welcome.

Birkerthwaite Nestling high on the fell above the River esk is a settlement dating back to the Bronze Age. The views over Scafell, Upper Eskdale and the Wasdale fells is magnificent.
